High-Fiber Diet and Crohn’s Disease: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Crohn’s disease (CD) is a subtype of inflammatory bowel (IBD). CD health problem in Western countries such as the US and European nations an idiopathic disease; however, certain cases have been associated with intestinal dysbiosis. A systematic review meta-analysis was carried out to determine efficacy diet rich fiber or without cointervention improve remission rates for CD. The literature PubMed, Scopus, Web Science, ClinicalTrials databases reviewed. quality studies evaluated using Johanna Briggs Institute (JBI) scale. This conducted accordance structure outlined PRISMA statement. In addition, performed 95% confidence interval (CI) random effects model. Eleven were included, totaling 2389 patients Applying administration routine therapies improved rates. Data regarding activity, time, adverse derived from consumption analyzed. Consumption could who receive do not other treatment maintain remission.
